This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and modifications are handled for bookings made through YovoTrip. By making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Important Notice
Cancellation and refund policies vary by booking type, fare class, supplier rules, and time of cancellation. Please review the specific fare rules and cancellation terms shown during your booking before completing payment.
YovoTrip is a travel platform that facilitates bookings between users and travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, insurers). Cancellation and refund policies are primarily determined by the respective travel supplier. YovoTrip may charge its own service fees for processing cancellation requests.
Every booking is subject to specific fare rules or rate conditions set by the airline, hotel, or travel supplier. These rules determine:
Whether cancellation is allowed
Cancellation charges and penalties
Refund eligibility and amount
Modification or reschedule options
No-show penalties
Please review fare rules carefully before booking. These rules are displayed during the booking flow.
You may request cancellation of a confirmed flight booking through your YovoTrip account, by contacting customer support, or via other available channels.
Cancellation Charges Include:
Airline Cancellation Fee: As per the airline's fare rules
YovoTrip Service Fee: A processing fee for handling the cancellation request
Payment Gateway Charges: Non-refundable gateway fees may apply
Refund Amount = Base Fare + Taxes - Airline Cancellation Fee - YovoTrip Service Fee - Non-refundable Components
Some fare components (e.g., certain taxes, convenience fees, insurance premiums) may be non-refundable depending on the booking type and supplier rules.
Some fares are marked as "Non-Refundable." For such fares:
No refund will be provided if you cancel.
You may still incur cancellation processing fees.
Check if modification/date change is available as an alternative.
If an airline cancels or significantly changes your flight:
You may be entitled to a full refund as per airline policy.
YovoTrip will assist in processing the refund claim.
Refund timelines depend on the airline's processing schedule.
If you do not check in or board your flight without prior cancellation:
The ticket may be treated as a "No-Show".
No-show penalties may apply as per airline rules.
For round trips, missing one segment may affect remaining segments.
Hotel cancellation policies are set by individual hotels and vary by property, room type, and rate plan. Common cancellation windows include:
Free Cancellation: Cancel before the specified deadline for a full refund.
Non-Refundable Rates: No refund available; typically offered at lower prices.
Partial Refund: Cancellation charge applies (e.g., one night's charge).
When you cancel a hotel booking, charges may include:
Hotel's cancellation penalty as per booking terms
YovoTrip service fee for processing the cancellation
Non-refundable taxes or fees where applicable
If you do not check in and do not cancel in advance, the hotel may charge the full booking amount as a no-show penalty.
Once a cancellation is approved:
Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
Credit/Debit Card refunds: 5-10 business days
UPI/Net Banking refunds: 5-7 business days
Actual credit to your account depends on your bank's processing time.
If applicable charges result in a partial refund, you will receive the net refund amount after deduction of all applicable fees and penalties.
If you believe a refund was incorrectly calculated:
Contact YovoTrip customer support with your booking reference.
Provide details of the discrepancy.
We will review and respond within 7-10 business days.
Where permitted by the supplier's rules:
You may request modification instead of cancellation.
Modification/date change fees may apply.
Fare differences for the new dates/options will be charged or refunded.
YovoTrip may charge a modification assistance fee.
If you purchased travel insurance through YovoTrip, you may be able to claim eligible cancellation expenses through the insurance provider, subject to the insurance policy terms.
In cases of extraordinary circumstances (natural disasters, pandemics, government advisories, etc.), refund and cancellation policies may be modified by travel suppliers. YovoTrip will communicate any special policies in such situations.
To request a cancellation:
Log in to your YovoTrip account.
Go to "My Trips" and select the booking.
Click "Cancel Booking" and follow the prompts.
Review the cancellation charges before confirming.
